Happily Forever After

Why fill my young mind with fairy tales that end the same?
Over and over again, a Prince Charming without a name
An idle hope for happiness from an awakening kiss
You only began a story, and the ending is amiss

So began my search ever since then for my sacred chalice
The one to take me away from stepmothers full of malice
I have been the cinderella, the snow white, the sleeping beauty
But no fairy godmother came to my rescue from reality

Stories are falling apart and crumbling down around me
As the ceiling caves in, my prince will never rescue me
He never existed, and alone I remain in the luxury tower
Speaking to teapots and cups, my ending my remaining power
